One sheet of paper (grid paper works best, but blank is fine). Two different colored pens (e.g., Red vs. Blue). (Draw a circle around the trapped area to claim it)
Player 1 (Red) and Player 2 (Blue) take turns drawing a small symbol (an "X", a small filled circle, or a triangle) inside the map.
A mark cannot be placed directly adjacent (touching) to your own previous mark. It must touch a blank space or an opponent's mark.
