Jess and Cece are passionately campaigning for Hillary Clinton. Schmidt, a staunch Republican who refuses to support Donald Trump (preferring to wait for Paul Ryan in 2020), makes a bet with them: if they can recruit five new voters, he will cast his vote for Clinton.

While Jess and Cece are out, Schmidt becomes fixated on the loft's "junk drawer," which is filled with disorganized mail and old batteries. His quest for order leads him to the local Clinton campaign office. Despite his political leanings, he is so appalled by the office's disorganization that he begins organizing their envelopes—which he refers to as "lopes". [S6E2] Hubbedy Bubby

He eventually gets roped into making phone calls to voters. However, because he cannot bring himself to say Clinton’s name with sincerity, he refers to her as "Hibbidy Bibbity," or "Celery Flintstone" while urging people to vote for Paul Ryan.
