Conan eventually uncovers the truth through security footage provided by Yuzan. The footage reveals a fatal struggle in the tank room between Yujiro and the eldest son, Yuichiro . Yujiro had initially tried to kill Yuichiro, but Yuichiro gained the upper hand and accidentally killed him during the fight.
The group discovers that Yujiro was also killed. In a particularly grim reveal, it is discovered that a victim was fed into the mansion's soft-serve ice cream machine, which was noticed when blood began coming out with the ice cream.
