Conan is in a tavern in Shadizar, the City of Wickedness, having spent his last coin. A mysterious, terrified merchant approaches him, offering a massive reward to protect a sacred artifact—a necklace known as the "Chain of Skulls"—from a Cimmerian sorcerer named Thulsa Doom (or a similar cult leader).

Conan recovers the chain, but rather than handing it over to anyone, he crushes it (or tosses it into a pit of lava), grabs a treasure chest as his reward, and rides off into the sunset, leaving the burning temple behind. Key Gameplay Elements:

Following clues from the seer, Conan infiltrates a terrifying temple hidden in the dense, snake-infested jungles. This acts as the final dungeon, packed with traps, undead guardians, and elite cultists. 3. The Climax & Resolution

Before Conan can agree, cultists of the serpent god, Set, ambush the tavern, killing the merchant and stealing the artifact. 2. The Quest (The Journey Through Hyboria)

Conan fights through the corrupt, maze-like streets of Shadizar to find out where the cultists took the necklace. He learns the necklace can resurrect an ancient, monstrous king.

In the center of the temple, the sorcerer is performing a ritual. Conan must fight through waves of enemies, dodge magical attacks, and use the environment to defeat the boss while the temple crumbles.
