The story follows Denji , a teenager living in extreme poverty to pay off his father's debt to the yakuza. He hunts devils alongside his companion Pochita , the "Chainsaw Devil". After being betrayed and left for dead, Denji merges with Pochita to become a powerful human-devil hybrid.
