Bengal Tiger -

The Bengal tiger ( Panthera tigris tigris ), also known as the Royal Bengal tiger, is an endangered subspecies of tiger native to the Indian subcontinent . As of late 2023, there are approximately 5,574 tigers of all types in the wild, with Bengal tigers making up about half of that total population. India holds the largest concentration, with a record-high population of 3,682 individuals reported by the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) in July 2023.
